The mission of Sickles School is to educate children and foster life-long learning by recognizing individual needs, developing academic, physical, social and emotional well being, and promoting artistic expression. I am thrilled and excited to be the new Principal of Sickles School. I know it is going to be a great year! In View Testing for 2nd grade will be on Monday, 3/1, Wednesday, 3/3 and Thursday, 3/4.
Read Across America Week 3/1-3/5. Spirit Days are as follows: Monday- Favorite Team Day Tuesday- Green Day Wednesday- Crazy Sock Day Thursday- Pajama Day Friday- Vacation Shirt Day
Spring Break- March 29-April 2
Understanding Challenges Day 3/25- Grade 3
Please refrain from bringing dogs on school grounds.
Please remind your children to store their belongings in their backpacks or a plastic bag while at school. We are trying to be proactive so as to avoid the spread of lice.
Please encourage the children to wash their hands frequently and not to touch their faces. Again...proactive health measures. :)
Please abide by safe procedures at drop off and pick up. Your children's safety is paramount.
Please send in a note if your child's after school plans are different than originally indicated. It is a good idea to label your child's belongings with their name and contact information. This will hopefully cut down on lost or misplaced items.
Our lost and found is overflowing...Please encourage the children to check it if they are missing anything.
Please send your child with a healthy snack each day...even on shortened days.
School lunches are $2.75, milk is .25.
We are collecting Box Tops for Education. These Box Tops translate into money for our schools and students. Thank you for your support with this collection. Our first graders will be counting them! :)
