KNOLLWOOD KNIGHTS BASEBALL RALLY!
The Knollwood Knights went down six runs early to Shrewsbury on Friday afternoon, but the Knights didn’t lose their composure. Tom Johnston was up in the fourth inning with bases loaded and hit a bases clearing triple. Rob Coene came in and completely shut down Shrewsbury’s offense with four innings of scoreless baseball. By pitching strikes and trusting his defense, he was able to get the Knights their fifth win. The Knights were very strong defensively, by committing only three errors and turning three double plays. The Knights look to take payback Little Silver on Tuesday for an earlier loss! Congratulations to the Lady Knights softball team!
This week proved to be a pivotal one as the Lady Knights secured three victories. On Tuesday, the Knights beat Little Silver 14-0 and Thursday the girls defeated Shrewsbury twice in their double header game. The first game they won 3-1 and the second game they were victorious, winning 7-1! Next week the girls will have a home game on Tuesday versus Rumson and another home game on Friday versus Tinton Falls! Good luck, Lady Knights! (May 11, 2012) Dr. Mykee Fowlin Visits Knollwood!
On Friday, April 27th the students and staff welcomed Dr. Michael Fowlin (a.k.a. Mykee) to the Knollwood School, courtesy of our Fair Haven PTA. Dr. Fowlin shared his powerful classic presentation "You Don't Know Me Until You Know Me" with our 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. His program brings a heightened awareness on the issues of race, discrimination, bullying and personal identity to students, faculty, administrators and parents. Dr. Fowlin has visited our school in years past and once again delivered his powerful messages through his acting ability, creation of voices, and humble demeanor. Dr. Fowlin has an undergraduate degree in psychology from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri and obtained his doctorate degree in clinical psychology from Rutgers University. Congratulations to the Knollwood Tennis Team for their recent 5-0 win against Red Bank Charter on Monday, April 30. Winning matches included 1st Singles Andrew Bunt, 2nd Singles Joseph Stein, 3rd Singles James Foley, 1st Doubles Jeffrey Friedman and Stephen Sager, and 2nd Doubles Michael Friedman and Brittany Morgan. All members of the Knollwood Tennis Team play a full set at every match. Please support the Knollwood Tennis Team at Fair Haven Fields for our remaining home matches on May 2nd and May 15th.
